Aram Topian: The app is very glitchy, and a little unpleasant to navigate. I love the Community photo section, but I have not been able to post the screen keep bouncing me back to crop the photos. The identifying feature is relatively accurate and has helped a lot and figuring out what I have in my yard. Please take a look at the photo posting side of theings???
S G: It has trouble identifying even the most common house plants correctly. I scanned each plant more than 3 times.... every scan produced a different result and not once was it even correct. I decided to test a few plants that still had tags from the store so I knew exactly what they should be... I watched all the tutorials on "how to take the photo" still wildly different results every time you scan. Waste of time app!
KPBJ-94: I like the concept and desperately need this app, however, this app is not very accurate. It doesn't tell you a definitive answer. It lists a few possible plants it could be and you have to look at them all, comparing photos and make your own decision. Sometimes the choices it brings up are way. I need the app to be smarter than me. I also need it to recognize trees and if something is a weed or not.
Susan Burns: It's a great idea for an app. I'm not convinced that it identifies things correctly, though. Also there is some kind of bug in the app that prevents my phone from sleeping and keeps the app open and running. Pulled my phone out of my pocket a couple hours after snapping a photo of a plant, and the app was still running, my battery almost dead, and my phone extremely hot.
Alisha Anderson: Works great and as expected for a free app. Very easy to use. I like that you can take a photo of the plant or flower with the actual app, or load a picture from your phone's picture gallery for identification. Sometimes can't seem to find the correct flower or plant, but most times I can. The only downside is that some plants and flowers seem to be incorrectly identified and added to the app's photo lineup of a plant making a correct identification tricky.
carrie sullivan: Dont waste your time and sd card space. You only get so many chances to identify a plant. Then it gives you the option to pay or watch an add for more "snaps". I watched the same add three times and it didnt credit me a single pic. Im uninstalling, the software for identifying the plants is as good of a guess as what i can make on my own anyways. Really... good luck in the future! the concept is admirable, technology just needs to catch up.. and poo on adds.
Katherine Nicholas: Disappointed. I just signed up and was immediately hit with an add to buy more before I could even take my first picture. Then upon taking my first picture it was identified correctly but then was inundated with more things to buy when I clicked "learn more" under the picture. In 5 seconds I was bombarded. I highly recommend you allow people to try the app before slamming them with requests for purchases.
Vivi LeBouf: I LOVE this app and paid for the premium version mainly to support it. It's really useful and I highly recommend it. However take into consideration that in my experience; having a difficult plant to identify and sending it in to be evaluated by an actual person has proved disappointing. It's been months and I've still yet to recieve a response. To sum up; a wonderful app great for documenting fauna around you and learning more about them, but wish it was better monitored for premium.
A Google user: This is a great app! I absolutely love it! I wish there was a way I could contribute more. As long as you follow the rules for a good snap, you will ALWAYS get accurate results. Some prior knowledge of plants may be required in order to tell which suggestion your particular specimen may be, as the algorithm usually narrows it down to several closely related species.
A Google user: I really like the interface and information in this app. There are a few improvements that I would like to see. There are some missing trees missing (such as Yellow Cedar). There isn?t much for identifying cone-bearing trees. Also narrowing down deciduous trees can be tough. For instance, I used all the filters that I could, and it narrowed down the results to over one hundred trees. There have been times though that it worked perfectly and I could identify the tree easily.I would really like to see more identification filters. Ideas that I would like to see implanted: type of bark, number of needles in a fascicle, type of fruit, location (west coast, east coast, central, north, etc), elevation, and more/complex leaf shape options.I do like the app a lot, once the app is improved, I would be happy to write another review. Thank you for all the hard work.
