Pawe? Czerski: While the web server in the app is somewhat useful to control the settings, the control app itself is pretty bad. Not only does it constantly drop the connection, it doesn't retain the white balance setting (the most inconvenient one to set), and no API is offered, so the website on the device is the only way to control the settings. The battery is drained in no time, too, even when actively charging the device. Painful experience.

Antti Keränen: Functions very well and does the job without a hassle. Only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star review is that if the camera is stationary (on a tripod) and the zoom (any amount of it, even 1%) is used, the picture wobbles in a circle very slightly but noticeably. I've circumvented this by scaling the image in OBS (it's a digital zoom anyway) but it would've been nice to be able to use the built-in zoom functionality.

Les Brecknell: Stable and reliable in use even with several devices connected. I like the way you can connect by usb as well as wifi. There is a small learning curve to fully understand how to connect it over usb, but that is a good thing as the more you play around with it the more you realise just how good it is. The two (minor) difficulties I experienced were quickly addressed on the same day by the email support. Very good value and well worth the cost.

Bruce MacDonald: I use this to remotely monitor and record activity at a group of bird feeders. It works "right out of the box" and is simple to use. Some hints for best performance: 1. Use the highest bandwidth wi-fi you have available. We added a 5GHz extender and dropped connections are no longer a problem. 2. If the phone is at a distance, then software to remote control the phone will save a lot of steps, however if the connection drops, then the remote control is useless too.

Ryan Brooks: There is no indication of what settings the app is currently set to, which is annoying for things like focus where it's not immediately apparent. Plus settings like 'exposure' start at -20, and you need to scroll to a more reasonable number every time you want to adjust it. Also, having paid ~$9 for the app, you don't get all the white balance options (warm fluorescent). But more annoyingly, it doesn't tell you which you have until you click on them and it tells you 'not supported'. It would be less annoying to have no option other than 'auto', because I'm not going to remember that I have 'fluorescent'. but not 'warm fluorescent'. To fix most of the problems I see, they could put a little dot beside the currently selected setting, start the exposure setting at 0 instead of -20, and fade the options you need to pay even more for (or that are not supported by your phone model).
