D J: NO ADS! NO MICROTRANSACTIONS! NO BATTLE PASS! An updated classic of the game that is still as fun to play now as it was then. It'll slog a bit on old phones, but it's an excellent to go game for something like this. It's an excellent port of an excellent game. If you like RPGs, you should absolutely play this game.

A Google user: Although I'm only a few hours in, I can already tell you that Dragon Quest III is worth your ?. See for yourself that this one usually ranks pretty high in the series. Those of you who already played this on the console back in the day won't see the intro scene I became aware of on YouTube: it shows the Hero's father (Ortega) fighting a dragon to the death on a ?. Interestingly this version though starts with a personality quiz which I read wasn't in the original NES cartridge. Naming companions besides picking their jobs was a nice touch. FYI fleeing from a battle has a very low chance of success! ? Less so than any sequel I've played so far. The difficulty of this one, however, has calmed over the much agonized second DQ (a purchase I've decided to save for now after an abandoned emulator attempt ? several months ago). Even though I already know what happens I still want to play this one through. I am glad the developers have made it possible to return to this franchise especially during this unfortunate age of COVID-19.

A Google user: Hooked once again. I've beaten DQ 1&2 and loved them both. DQ 2 was better than 1 and so far DQ 3 is better than 2. Wasn't sure if i was ready for a long quest after just finishing DQ2 but once i got my questing crew together and made it through the first dungeon i was hooked again. Only a small way into the game but it's more of the same but better and again an excellent port. Great for getting through these times of isolation. Thanks for the good work devs, much better than downloading a rom.

A Google user: This is the first Dragon Quest game I've played and beat. Dragon Quest III is great and I will push it for Summer Slam every year. This port of DQ3, however, is not the best. While it uses the Super Famicom sprites for everything, this version does not have the animations those sprites had and has removed the pachisi tracks and moved their rewards throughout the game. The Monster Medals from the Gameboy Color port are also missing, but those were just a heavy grind reward anyways.

A Google user: An all time classic, one of my favorite JRPGs and a must play for all fans of the genre. Though I must say it is at it's best only after having played the first two games. There's just so much done right here attempting to summarise it all here could never do it justice. Took me about 34.5 hours to complete and O loved every minute of it. Also the controls work very nice and the portrait orientation feels perfect for a game that you'll most likely play on the go.

A Google user: I like Dragon Quest III but western fans shouldn't be given a inferior version of this game, what happened to the opening and the enemy battle animation from the SNES version that this version is based on, the only reason I would think to remove them is to be more accurate to the NES version but its already so similar to the SNES version you might as well go all the way. I do still like the game but I was disappointed not getting the best possible version.

If you're not paying attention, you will defend in battle instead of attacking, amongst other things. Still no fix to the issue after two weeks.

A Google user: I'm five minutes in and this game has me SOLD. Already well worth the purchase, satisfied with the product. It looks nice. It looks crisp. It looks clean. It sounds amazing. Everything I am looking for in an RPG to get me back into the beautiful mix I've been missing out on. The update on the graphics looks sweet compared to the old versions, and probably keeps all of the story and flow as the elder games surely did. I just played the first one on iOS too which was another great purchase.
