Nate Coss: Great game! Being able to make a uncapturable piece is AWESOME! I wish you could make it so certain pieces could taunt enemy pieces or make a certain piece focus on it(ex:monkey characters would HAVE to follow bananas) or you could make a piece attack both white and black, no matter what. I also think you should be able to apply a rule to a piece to make it reflect projectiles or take 1 hit before being captured. Great game, but the suggestions above would be great.

ejude: This game is incredible. You can create your own pieces with special abilities, then use them on custom boards. The adventure mode is great too, because it shows you what you can do with this app. It's completely free and has no ads. It does have a few bugs and annoyances, but they aren't too prominent. Overall, this is perfect. Even if you don't like making your own pieces, you can still use this app to create positions to improve your classic chess skill.

James Clancy: Great game, but personally think there should be an option to disable stalemates in adventure mode (or count them as a win and still reward points). The ability to view adventure levels in a menu instead of panning across the map would also be nice, to help search through the levels you've unlocked.

Awkward Commentator: Chesscraft is fun. It takes chess and transforms it into a campaign mode of challenges with different board spaces, piece set-ups, pieces themselves, rules, and goals. There are also blockades to enforce changing difficulties and collectibles to enforce changing strategies. All this plus a creator mode allowing you to test your own wacky ideas with bots or friends. Overall, a simple and silly chess game with plenty of boards to get you thinking. One complaint though is the odd music timing. 5/5.

Chris Thompson: Frankly the movement options are pretty limited. The piece creation doesn't allow for forced hopping pieces, think checkers, and anything more complex than rook or bishop movement is always treated as a 'jump' like a knight. Adventure mode is grindy, forcing you to replay levels on higher difficulties to get enough points to unlock all of the levels in the first place. In general, it's okay. If you wanted to recreate even basic fairy chess puzzles, than you won't find it here.

PV - Yeah ? 10 years ago: Works great, Editor's fine, and gameplay is pretty good. I just have some suggestions like 1. Custom Piece Sprites, maybe from your gallery, 2.And add a way to make the chess boards at least a little bigger in the editor. 3.and allow us to change the background while playing chess because the black background is a little boring. 4.Or maybe we can change the color scheme of the board checker pattern to other colors like, Green and Red or maybe an image we choose.

Merrill Zulueta: Great, but could be perfect. When its my turn (in one-player mode), why does the game make a move for me? It occurs quite a few times, regardess of AI level. As for the 'undo' button. I read your FAQ regarding this, and I understand your stance. However, please let us, as players of the game, decide if we should use that feature. Please do not deprive us of our freedom to choose. What would it be like if we had no say in the color of our cars? If all phones were one size?

Brandon Holsapple: GREAT CHESS GAME! If you like chess, and want to make your own boards, this is the game for you! If you wanna figure out how to avoid an invincible knight, or manage an army of fifteen pawns, download this thing NOW! A few suggestions: Suicide units that can explode and blow up all pieces surrounding it when you double tap it. Units that take multiple hits to kill. An online variant! More computer levels, (I'm having trouble with two, but that's the point.) I've always wanted an app like this.

A Google user: This game is great! I just randomly came across this game and I didn't regret it! I love the map and piece creator too. I just want to ask how to access other maps and pieces. Playing the normal style slowly gets boring. Also, there is a glitch where maps get deleted. I dont know whh, but please fix this!

A Google user: This is really a great game. Would like to see difficulty levels 5 - 12 added which are stronger. About one or two hundred additional piece pictures that exist in current variants and the ability to import piece pictures would be nice. Pieces with the ability to hop as in Chinese Chess and an expanded piece grid that is larger than 7x7 would be nice. The option to have hit points for pieces would be interesting, landscape mode, expanded Adventure mode.
