The BlackVue app supports all the BlackVue dashcam models with Wi-Fi compatibility.

BLACKVUE WIFI:
Access your dashcam in a direct connection over Wi-Fi. To do so, connect first to your BlackVue from your phone’s Wi-Fi Network menu.
Once connected, you can go to the BlackVue app’s BlackVue Wi-Fi menu to access all the videos stored on your dashcam’s microSD card, check Live View to adjust your camera’s angle if needed, and modify your BlackVue’s settings.
You can also apply a firmware update over-the-air (FOTA) after downloading the firmware to your phone. If you are already connected to your BlackVue, make sure to connect to an Internet-enabled Wi-Fi network to download the latest firmware from the app: the Firmware Download option is accessible from the sliding menu (swipe left to right in the Main Menu of the app).

INTERNAL MEMORY:
Once you have downloaded videos from your dashcam to your phone, they will appear in this menu. From here, you can organize your files into folders and save videos to your phone’s photo/video album.

BLACKVUE CLOUD:
BlackVue Cloud is a BlackVue-exclusive service (with subscription plans available) that lets you access your BlackVue from anywhere, anytime, from the BlackVue app (or the BlackVue Viewer).
Creating your BlackVue Cloud account is simple and free. After creating your account, the app lets you register your Cloud-compatible BlackVue (BLACKVUE CLOUD menu) and set it up to connect to a hotspot (BLACKVUE WI-FI menu):

Robert Noël: Critical long-term problems with downloading videos. Regardless of how often I need to download videos, I have to wait endlessly for the 900S camera to connect to my phone through lackluster BlackVue wifi. Weeks go by before it eventually connects. It gives audio feedback to let me know the camera is on as well as the wifi. Multiple times I've deleted the app from my phone in an attempt to reset the access to BlackVue but that option rarely works. I'm not the only user complaining about this.

Juju Gray: After several years, I have never had any issues with app, connectivity, camera, etc. My only gripe is the "parking mode". Parking mode is basically useless because you have to subject yourself to an astronomically tedious process of searching through countless vids to catch a culprit. It would be great if parking mode flagged every vid in which motion was detected. That would help narrow the search. After 2 years of owning 900S, my car continues to get scratched and haven't caught the suspect

Scott AndersEn: WTH? How did I get roped into paying $500 for a camera with the absolute worst app and software I've ever seen on a piece of electronics! Had to manual sync because it can't find the camera. Wifi connection drops constantly ... app crashes every other menu ... can't even access my $500 camera system at all. I can't stress how awful this system is. Save yourself from frustration and don't get it! If I hadn't waited so long to install it, i'd return it in a heartbeat! JUNK

Cory Pechon: I don't know what happened to these guys. Their platform used to be great. I bought one of their cameras in 2015, I used it for about a year and then put it in a drawer. I just took it back out got everything connected and all appeared to be well at first until I tried using the app. I cannot view videos, edit settings, or do anything to control or use the camera without the application crashing. This is a full-blown app crash event as described by the Android operating system. Latest FW too

Bertie Acevedo: I am a bit disappointed with this APP. When it works it is good but it seems like I need to uninstall and reinstall every time I want to access the video files. I find myself troubleshooting the connectivity between the camera and the APP everyday. In three days of use it has not worked as advertised. I should be able to click on the camera in the APP and select the video file I would like to view. Not get an error message that this me to check if wifi is off, or try to pair your device.e

Shannon Wiegand: Honestly I was worried that this app would be garbage when I saw all the negative reviews and that I'd have to return a $600 purchase. That being said, I find the app and camera are easy to use. If you have a VPN, you MUST disable it in order to connect or change any of the settings. This is a fair bit annoying, but not terribly inconvenient unless you plan to connect every 5 seconds. Hopefully this purchase and this app continue to work well.

Karalee Carr: Everything was working well until this last update. Now I regularly app says camera is not online when I am sitting in my vehicle with the camera saying it's connected to the vehicle's wifi. I have never had soooo many issues with the camera's supposed connection. It seems like an app issue, not a connection issue. Says the cloud is full when I have cleared all of the videos from the cloud. A lot of difficulty attempting to view clips. It really is just a mess right now. Very disappointing

tech- garage: Not sure if it's a hardware issue or the app. But my dr900s 2ch only connects to my phone (wifi) about once every thirty+ tries. And that's with me rebooting and turning wifi on off multiple times.. sucks because the video quality rocks. Just have to take the sd card out to look at anything. Also I can't figure out how to zoom in (on Android) to any of the videos my cam captures... EDIT:: apparently if you turn off mobile data it connects every time... That is a big oversight on blackvues part.

Louie White: Updates corrected situation. Either phone, device or app or combination. Much more dependable now! Doesn't work 98% of the time. Over the Cloud is ok if parked an using a cable router for internet. But constantly dropping and reconnecting, then dropping again if on Cellphone or even MiFi. Wi-Fi Direct is hit or miss, mostly miss. And even if you are lucky enough to have either working (connected), it invariably gives "can't start camera" so is useless for live monitoring.

A Google user: Update: Those of you on Android P or Q, I've found turning off mobile data while connected to backview wifi. Will allow you to view and download videos over wifi. Love this camera, the app could be a little cleaner and easier to use. But otherwise it works perfectly. Wifi issues are my biggest compaint. Its most likely android, but its annoying tapping the "no internet" notification every time. Otherwise the app wont connect to the camera.
