Alpenblick is free offline map application. It's designed for people who enjoy the mountains. All the tools for your trip planning, navigating, and reviewing trip history work independently of network connection, once you have installed appropriate map data.

Important note: the application fully respects your privacy and all data it manages stores exclusively in your device. While the application is running, it records your trip data to present you trip profile, map track and trip statistics. You can use application tools to analyze trip data or safely delete them if you want to. For the application to work properly, it requires access to device features and resources, such as GPS location, local files, camera views etc. Any of these features are NOT being misused in any manner.
Most of functionality is free for use, you can enable all functions by using in-app billing.

Alpenblick provides three view tabs – Map, Skyline and Pilot.
To get broader information about them, tap the question mark button in the right upper corner of application. You can also tap and hold any application button to get its short description.

Map view supports rendering of the landscape in both 2D or 3D terrain model, providing realistic trip planning in challenging Alps terrain.
It offers a number of options for modifying the display according to your activity – hiking, bike trips, cross-country skiing or downhill skiing. Readability and appearance settings help make user experience better.

Skyline view shows augmented reality. As you are pointing your phone at the breathtaking landscape in front of you, it projects contours of Alps horizons along with peak names from the map into camera view.
You can also use Skyline to preview a panorama around any location assigned on the Map.

The Pilot view presents current trip data, both the immediate, such as speed or altitude, as well as aggregate data of the trip. You can analyze or delete the logs in the Search/MyTracks view.
Pilot view contains also Navigator view providing the directions for the current route.

Besides those three view panels, you can use another application views – Search, Pointboard and Map Install.

Search view provides search on an extensive database of various points of interest including Alps peaks. You can use those in trip planning, subsequently.

The points of interest are managed in the Pointboard. You can add them from the Map or Search view and use them in route planning. Alpenblick also supports GPX files, enabling you to follow a route shared by another traveller
as a GPX file.

Once you have downloaded and launched this application (or later whenever needed), install the map data – Western, Central or Eastern Alps using the Map Install view, activated by the round button with compass arrow at the bottom right.
