alan brown: Was okay, now, avoid. This was a go to I recommended for a while, I still have it as I'm tied in to a subscription. Once that is done, so am I. EXTREMELY annoying set of pop-ups on the windows software, and a new lightweight 'don't worry its still working in the backgroud' app on android, devoid of information or any kind of front end. The overall experience has left me nervous for my online security in a time when it is more and more critical. I may just ditch this anyway.

Dust Who: Webroot use to have two separate apps with one being a secure browser and the other being the antivirus. One of the recent updates as of writing merged them into one, & I feel like it's a downgrade. The antivirus app use to let me see what permissions the apps on my device had and would take me to where I needed to go to change those permissions. Now that (along with a few other options that I can't remember) are gone & we're just left with a click to scan button that doesn't work offline

W W: This new version sucks!!! I've had Webroot for years and they have slowly taken away feature by feature and stripped away any practical value to the app. I noticed a big change a few years ago when the company got bought out. It's no longer an app that runs in the background that monitors everything. It's now just another web browser that is monitored. It's not protecting the whole phone anymore. This is not what I am paying for. I'm very disappointed in the new app.

Michael Goeke Sr.: Whose bright idea was this, taking a useful program and dismantling it down to a generic browser with a scan button. The app only takes a few seconds to do a complete scan?? You can't see the results of the scan, or see your account information or subscription status. Bring back the version that we paid good money for that was actually useful. I will be looking for a different internet security program.

Larry Anderson: I am continually receiving a message to update Webroot Security Anywhere. I updated it, but the message still keeps popping up extremely and annoyingly often. Someone isn't paying attention. This doesn't make me feel very secure. I am wondering if anyone at Webroot reads these comments. The update message just keeps popping up about every 5 minutes or so. Very annoying! It would surely be nice to stop it or receive a message for how to stop it.

Troy Nickol: *POS* - useless. Impossible to figure out what to do. I will most likely find new security. I loved the old version. It was user-friendly. This one requires that you try over and over again! It changed my searches on my computer from chrome to yahoo. Still trying to get chrome back. My settings still show that chrome is the default.

Mary Guiler: I've had webroot secure anywhere on computers and smartphone for 8 years. The new app is mostly useless. I had to go to my computer just to check my subscription end date. I got 3 notifications to update my app. I can't get rid of the last. The new app won't remove the old when I touch the place to do so. Please, give us back an app that will at least do what the old one did. This apparently will only scan. I did get it set to work with Chrome browser...I hope. Terrible!

Diana Marie's Corner: The previous version was much more user friendly and displayed the protections you were receiving and the layout was easier to understand. This version is essentially browser protection and you don't really know if the device itself is free of issues it just says scanning on the bottom. I hope they update it back to the old layout!

AJH: Way to trash an effective and useful app. You receive a notification to install the new version. After going through the install, the new app requires you to remove the old app. But when you select ok and confirm it, the app just loops back to the previous message. No indication it finished, no indication it's been updated. It's now just a useless app stuck in limbo with constant notifications.

Ashton Neu: Not sure if the updates fault. It was telling me my account didn't exist and wouldn't let me log in for the longest time. Finally got it and the new app has not information on it. Very upsetting. The old apps were much. I would want to see the old ui come back from the security app to know if my device is protected. I like having the constant notification at the top and in my notification bar that I am protected. I feel naked now. Please add this feature back.
