jason durham: I bought a la Crosse weather station a couple of weeks ago. Ever since I have bin trying to get it to link to my wifi with no success the station works well but the app is terrible I have tried everything all the way to factory reset very unhappy with it. Not sure what I can do but I am very disappointed with the app and overall the product because it doesn't work like advertised.

shawn mcnabb: WiFi setup doesn't work on Android 12. Forever stuck trying to connect to the device's WiFi. Like other reports I discovered I had to dig out an old Android 6.0 device to complete the setup. That definitely not acceptable! There needs to be a manual setup option. 1 year later, lowering to 1 star. Device loses connection to sensors and typically no info in app until you reconnect over and over. The device and app are junk. Do not purchase!

Chris Now: Most ridiculous wi fi setup ever. The app choose itself network even if is not 2.4 as they want. End advise to walk away ???. No option to choose from available networks. After I switched my phone to 2.4, trying again, restarted my phone- it connected. After turned off power for while it disconnected again from wifi and impossible to reconnect. To much hassle. Godmar Back: The setup process for a VA1 model is ludicrous. First, it wants you to turn off your mesh routers, degrade the quality of your WiFi signal and then walk to the far corners of your house to get it fall back to the 2.4GHz band. Tried this 5 times without success - even when on 2.4 GHz, didn't work. Dug out 10 year Android devs, no luck. Finally, all the sudden and without any user input, the app suggested Setup and + - a setup mode where the device creates a 2.4GHz AP. This then worked. Ludicrous.

Desert Gater: If I were La Crosse, the very first thing I would do is fire everyone involved in creating the application! This is the most convoluted POS of an application that I have run into in years. Alert points can't be set on all categories without second third and fourth set category being erased. It does not easily connect with the monitor! I'm still not connected to the monitor because there are no clear instructions on how to do this. This should have automatically connected to the monitor! FAIL!

Den Law: The temperature/ weather device is ok. I expected more from it. I could not get the app to work using my Galaxy Note 20 ultra. Eventually I used an ipad and got everything to work. I randomly loose wi-fi connection to the outdoor device and can't get current weather status. The LED panel font display is small and to much info on the screen. You can't just walk by and look, you have to stop and read the display which needs to be brighter. The unit could of been less costly and I'd be ok with it.

A. J.: 08/2022 Update: I have again lost connectivity from the app to each of the devices. None of the devices will display any information on the app. The main display works as expected. I have sent out a help request but I am sure they will tell me to re-add all the devices yet again. When the app works, it's simple to use and I think it's laid out pretty well. 2020: The first diisplay wouldn't connect to the rain gauge. I waited for months to get a new one.

Raymond White: I've had the V30v2 for about two years and have had nothing but issues when it comes to reconnecting my base unit to wifi. La Crosse sent me a new base unit to correct the issue with no resolve. After hours of battling my phone to connect to the unit and transfer data, I gave up on my newer phone and used my old phone that still had the app on it to get it to connect. It appears to be a glitch with the apps software. I now have a new router and phone and can longer connect. Might go Acurite

Carl Sassenrath: La Crosse needs to develop a better app. Their weather sensing hardware seems good, but their app leaves a lot to be desired. I would bet there are a number of software developers who would help improve it for free because we want something that works well! Side note: I bought an Acurite weather station recently. The sensors are about the same as La Crosse, but the app is much better. The La Crosse could work just as well with a little effort on their part! Or maybe just open source it!

mnemonic20: Once you get a more advanced router aka 5ghz it will no longer work. I've spent hours trying to get the app to connect to wifi. Yes I tried 2.4ghz only. It doesn't matter. It will not connect or find it. It did just fine on an old router with only 2.4ghz. Stay away and spend your money on something better. Wish I could give it zero stars!
