Grasshopper: Learn to Code v3.02.01 APK + MOD (Premium Unlocked/VIP/PRO)

KW Russell: Ultimately disappointing. Buggy javascript interface, with many operators and keywords greyed out (unusable) or missing on most exercises. The lesson structure actively discourages creativity. Solutions to most exercises are paint by number ( "change the first string to read 'Bingo!'") and since the set of operations is so restricted, once you've performed the basic steps to solve an exercise, there is not a lot left to play with (no loops, conditionals, array methods, no "not" operator, etc).

Popopam Jam!: I haven't used this app for long, but so far it's great! I've been trying to learn how to code for years, but it's been a struggle with ADHD... ? But this app solved all my problems! All the other apps and websites and resources I've tried to learn coding on taught me far too slowly, so I struggled to keep paying attention, but this one teaches at the perfect pace for me. I don't know about you all but this was the perfect app for me! Would recommend to anyone who has the same struggles as me.

Jess A: Completely free, no ads. However the way you add code is so clunky and difficult to deal with. You don't just type parentheses, for example, you have to select the word you want to put parentheses around and then hope it puts them around the word but it won't, it will inevitably put them at the end of the word then you have to select them again and hope a back space will remove only the parentheses but no, it erases all the code you've written so far. Frustrating

LeCafard: It's good but could be better. For one thing you should always allow the full code to be viewable. For instance in the Custom Colors exercise you have to update the variables to make a block of magenta. Yes you can do it but since you can't see the full code it doesn't help understand WHY it worked instead of making a combination of numbers. This would also have the advantage of showing users creative ways of utilizing what they have already learned to achieve the desired results.

A Google user: I've learned more from this app than any other I have used. Why not a perfect 5 star review? I see this is an app that is centered on a person being busy and still wanting to learn, but what would make this app much better is to have many additional optional practice problems that a person could do just to help with remembering the newly learned skill. Repetition greatly helps with remembering, but make it optional because of all the skill levels of people on these courses.

A Google user: I wish it taught more than just JavaScript. There's glitches showing wrong responses to correct code entered. A detailed dictionary in menu options would help. Descriptions given during tutorials aren't always clear enough for beginners to fully understand what's meant. There should also be options to practice what you've cumulatively learned in a separate area with choices of shortcut keys (if else, string, print, [ ], { }, etc), manual typing of everything, or both (toggle?).

A Google user: I would give this 5 stars except that twice now it has refused to allow progress to the next lesson, (no error message or hint of what is happening, the next step simply never becomes available). I use this on a device that is rarely connected to the internet and discovered by accident that when i start the app at these points with an active internet connection it allows progress again. I dont know what sort of data mining is being done but a connection requirement should be documented clearly.

A Google user: Its fun, but not very practical. The simplistic approach is definitely a plus when trying to learn the concept of simple code, but the simplicity is also a draw back in my opinion. Some of the codes used in this app dont translate to real world applications, and I feel like there should be more than one or two "tests" for each new idea introduced. Overall it's a great app to kill some time, but don't expect to come away with a full grasp of JavaScript.

A Google user: I'm enjoying it so far, but there seems to be a design flaw in way you scroll through the input options at the bottom of 'your solution' code. It's nearly impossible to get it to settle on the last page without it flipping to the glossary at the end. Pretty frustrating. Otherwise, great little program.

A Google user: Coming into this with very, very little knowledge for coding (does html on myspace count?) I feel like I've learned so much already. I like the pacing of the lessons and how they build on each other. The interface makes it easy to use on mobile and feels like playing a game more than learning at times. I really look forward to completing the lessons and seeing how far it takes my knowledge. Great app!
