Open the app, press the record button and it records video in 5-minute increments you can retrieve in your pictures folder. It will even record in the background if you're using Google navigation or talking to someone on the phone. It also records audio. Important to note, this app will not magically make your phone's camera better and sitting your phone on the dash in the sun will make it heat up.

No glitches yet after 1 week of daily use. 06-06-22 - After a year and half, I still like this app. Play around with different settings, and you'll discover something new that you'll like. Phone overheating? Turn off your phone's screen while your driving. The app will continue recording.

D Kirkham: I'm still new to the app so I'm still trying to fine tune it. There are a lot of settings. It won't shut off automatically when the Bluetooth device is turned off, even though the switch is set to do so. It also causes my phone to overheat quickly. I've adjusted down several settings to reduce video quality and such but I'm still having trouble.

Have used for about 2 hours.. Also, is there I place to limit folder size? I didn't notice.. ... Update... Developer gave me some pointers / suggestions on setup, and am happy with the app now.. I also added a Micro SD card so I can set it to use it to put the videos on. This too seems to be working well also..

Nate Brenneman: Far better than any competing product. Has more optional settings and operates with much greater reliability and stability than any other dash cam app I've tried. I havent found any desirable features in other apps which are not also available in this one. Developer is very responsive and was able to incorporate my suggested changes with shocking speed, professionalism, and friendliness. Grade A+

Reed Savory: I love this app, and would gladly pay for a paid version. But *please* add the option to terminate and close the app completely from the menu. I have no need to have the background watcher process running when I'm not in my car, it chews up battery, and having to force terminate it all the time is a pain. Also, please consider adding "and" capabilities to the autostart menu. For example, connected to particular Bluetooth device AND connected to power source, autostart recording.

B: Perfect option vs. a Dashcam kit. Easy to use, just press record and forget, and stop at destination. Saves files in 5 minute videos in a temp file, so you don't have to save a whole trip if you don't want to, then permanently save options available or erase all. Records Speed by GPS, lat./long. GPS location, with street/cross-street location, night/day recording, and audio. This app. does it all, you would think you bought a Dashcam. Easy to use, few ads to watch, excellent!
