Christopher ?Brad? Thomas: Uninstalled, there was a bad update that seem to mess with the google assistant reader. I don't know if it was intentional or not but it could not see my screen to read the text on it. Its more simple to go to the page you want open assistant with a long press on the power key and then type read. Whatever that update was trying to do was fustraiting. Nah man and the talk back doesn't has as good of a voice client as the normal assistant voices.

Jay: Newest screen reader voice does not enunciate and it's too fast, and it's too hard to understand. Android screen reader technology decides to simply not read things about 1/3 of the time. Becomes completely unresponsive no matter where I swipe or try to click. Options to read by paragraph or line or word or character disappear a lot of the time. Sometimes I am not able to select the pace that I read by, which is imperative. Too easy to accidentally change settings by swiping up or down

Lisa Garcia: Talkback seems to continuously crash. My phone is useless without the speech on. I have no cursor, and my Braille display helps only so much. It's frustrating having a phone with no speech, as I can't use its functions. For the sighted people commenting that it is terrible, try using your phone with your eyes closed and see how useful it is to you.

Rhonda Causey: This app is bloody useless to people that are in no way afflicted with a speech impediment. IDEK about this feature, until the unthinkable happened & I couldn't turn it off, just had to listen to that "voice" describing every little movement needed to do one thing! I took my phone to T-Mobile & the rep there says "Oh yeah, this is a total pain. Whomever designed this didn't think this through & it was an error in design"!! Verbatim people. Great, huh? I just uninstalled it.

K L jr: I love the concept of this app and it has helped me considerably when used; however, it is difficult for me to access due to where it's located. We should be given the option to have it either placed on the navigation bar or as a slightly transparent floating icon that can be freely moved around on screen. This would provide me the ability to easily access it higher up on my screen when I need it and would let me move it to a location that fits my needs. I beg you to PLEASE consider my idea!!!

elizabeth isralowitz: Terrible! I can't adjust it and it won't auto scroll. The voice is a chipmunk on crack. It goes so fast it is completely unhelpful for those of us with text based disabilities. I mean I'm a smart person but I need to hear things a bit slowed down or I can't understand them and this is so fast I usually have no clue what it's saying. There is also no easy way to make it work with text that is longer than the screen so I end up hearing repeats innstead of seemlessly hearing the article.

Austin Maly: I can tell they do not keep up with this app anymore. Even before the last update, my phone would no longer use gestures to the point I can't navigate anywhere unless I specifically select the item I want to be read. Even after re-installing it many times! I use this app for website Accessibitly testing so it was useful when it worked. I cannot imagine the frustration this causes to those that may have a visual impairment.

Ghost in the Signal: Screen reader works and is easy to use but will not stay on if you scroll or new chat messages come up, so you have to keep turning it on. TalkBack is terrible, the UI just does not work and does not display an option to turn it off as the tutorial claims, can only be switched off by going into the accessibility menu in settings. Which is difficult since it doesn't respond to the touches in the tutorial or the normal touch screen UI.

Christine Jersey: Horrible that you cant uninstall or truly disable talkback. It goes on several times a day for no reason and drives me mad. Also gets me into trouble. Have to struggle to get to talkback in settings and turn it on and then off. It will even say it's off when it is on and I have to turn it on and off over and over again. Back to Apple phones for me. They are so much better on all levels. Still miss the days when we could still control our cell phones, our lives unlike new communist world.

A Google user: Aimed at talkback features. Awesome concept piss poor execution. i spend more time trying to control it, then its benefit. it is inconsistent, with no parameters for controlling what you want read to you. i can tell it where to start. sometimes it will read a paragraph, and skip to the bottom of a page. you give a worthless selection box, that rarely starts where you want, and doesn't let you select the whole page.. you cannot drag while scrolling. make this app useful again it's gone downhill
